This project aims to open new ways for the reuse of recycled plastic in architecture through large scale robotic 3dprinting. Thus, this 3dprinted interior explores the infinite possibilities offered by this technology, broadening horizons in the reuse of plastic, helping to give a second life to a material whose 90% of waste still ends up accumulating in our oceans and landfills.

The 9m by 3.40m interior wall has been designed and produced by Nagami in Ávila (Spain) through their 3D printing technology, which makes use of industrial robots to enlarge the scale possibilities for their products. The wall, printed in 124h, showcases the formal freedom achievable through digital additive manufacturing and postulates plastic as a fundamental resource for the future to alleviate the environmental impact in construction.

The design of the store, located in the emblematic Salvador Square in Seville, aims to convey the uniqueness and exclusivity of the product through a gesture that drew analogies with its material properties. The shapes and textures of the cake, the twisting by gravity after it is cut, the variable cream colour and the external toasting from baking, become the drivers that shape the spatial and atmospheric characteristics of the proposal. Thus, the interior wall features folded curved geometries, while its material appearance change brightness and opacity. This is achieved through a pigment graduation in the print that allows the backlighting of the wall, which, together with the interior stucco, produces material changes depending on the distance from the observer.

A large wooden counter that runs parallel to the curved wall from the street invites customers to access the room while the floor and the rest of the walls, covered in stucco, give the space a material uniqueness that enhances the expressiveness of the printed wall.
